Torrey Pines tee times and stay-and- play packages 2018 rates for Torrey Pines South: South are $202 weekday and $252 on holidays and weekends. But the kicker is that in order to book an advanced tee time 8-90 days out, which you will in all likelihood do , it’s another $45 (non-refundable) per golfer due up front.

Everyone says you have to play the South Course when you visit Torrey Pines . We found the North Course to be more playable, with better views, more thrilling holes and a better value.

During the week show up by 4AM to ensure you get a tee time. This is by far and away the easiest and cheapest way to play either course at Torrey Pines . Most of the people in line are there to play the South Course so if you show up a little late you can always settle for the North Course, which isn’t all that bad.
Torrey Pines switched from bentgrass to Poa annua on the greens, Kikuyugrass fairways and a Kikuyugrass / ryegrass / Poa annua blend in the rough over the past four years. The par-5 sixth was converted to a par 4 by the USGA, and the U.S. Open was played as a par 71 on the South Course.
