There is an astonishingly high number of golf courses dotted all over the island, ranging from basic 9 holes courses to world class championship golf courses with 18 holes deigned by the world leading golfers such as Ernie Els, Bernard Langer sprawls and David Leadbetter.
Types of Golf Courses : Links, Parkland and Desert There are three main types of golf courses found around the world. While links golf courses , parkland and desert golf courses are commonly played on, and the two names are thrown around, some golfers may not be aware of the differences. Residential adult members pay R15,000 to join with a non resident/outside member paying R25,000 to join the cub. Once a member, you pay a subscription fee of R7,700 and then green fees of R200. ‘Social’ golfers can pay a subscription of R1,400 and hack a round of golf for R450 in Winter and R720 in the summer.
