According to most golfers, it is worth reshafting irons if your iron shaft is damaged, or if the shaft is not suitable for your swing.
How To Re-Shaft Your Steel Golf Clubs Carefully clamp the shaft into a vise using a Shaft Vise Clamp. When removing steel shafts from clubheads, use a torch to heat the hosel. After 30 seconds of heating, with your gloved hands grasp the head and twist/pull the head. Using a wire brush remove excess epoxy from the inside of the hosel.

Steel tends to have very low torque (rotation during the swing) and also a stiffer tip section, while graphite can offer much higher torque rates and more flex in the tip. This combination will help with launch and also help you swing faster with less effort.
And if you’re adjusting the lie angle , it’s possible you could be making a good swing and getting penalized because your specs are off. Getting the loft and lie angle checked is going to run you anywhere from $2-$5 per club , depending on the amount of work needed.
Continuously reusing graphite shafts is not a good habit either. Each time the shaft is exposed to a heat source, there has to be some effect to the shaft .

Price to Reshaft Irons If you need a new graphite shaft in your iron, you could be looking at spending anywhere from $40 -$100 just for the shaft. Steel, on the other hand, is much more affordable. Depending on the type of steel shaft and the specifications, you are looking at something closer to $20-$75 per shaft.
Most retailers charge $15–25 to install a shaft , but I have seen prices as much as $100*. When a club is re-shafted, it also needs a new grip.
Depends on what type of epoxy you use. The “Tour” epoxy is supposed to be ready in 20 mins or so. Other epoxies should sit for 24 hrs to assure a good bond. Also, if you use 24 hour epoxy but cure it in a “hot box” it will set much faster.
A new shaft can put the wallop back in your trusty driver and have it hitting like a brand-new club. One of the nice things about replacing a driver shaft is that there is generally no tip trimming involved.
