The 2020 Open Championship has been canceled , and the 2020 Masters is scheduled for Nov. 12-15, though it has not announced a policy for its patrons at this time. The 2020 Ryder Cup has been pushed a full year to 2021.
Play has been suspended at the U.S. Women’s Open due to weather. After months of added anticipation, golf fans will have to wait at least a little bit longer to crown a U.S. Women’s Open champion in 2020. The tournament has been suspended Sunday due to inclement weather in the Houston area, home to Champions Golf Club.
The U.S. Open is open to any professional, or to any amateur with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 1.4. Players (male or female) may obtain a place by being fully exempt or by competing successfully in qualifying.

Tiger Woods did not make the cut at the U.S. Open. The star golfer had a brutal Friday, shooting a 7-over 77 to finish 10 over for the tournament. “On this golf course it’s imperative that you hit fairways, and I did not do that,” Woods told reporters.

The 2020 US Masters has been rescheduled for November 9th-16th later this year, tournament organisers have confirmed. The year’s opening Major was set to start this Thursday, but was postponed on March 19th due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The R&A has decided to cancel The Open in 2020 due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. The Championship will next be played at Royal St George’s in 2021. This is the first time since the Second World War that golf’s original Championship, first played in 1860, has been cancelled .

Unlike the PGA Championship and the Open Championship, which allows the low 70 players and ties to play all four rounds, the USGA has a slightly higher bar for its “ cut rule,” taking only the low 60 and ties.
With a win , you get a 10-year U.S. Open exemption as well as five-year exemptions into the Open , Masters and PGA Championship. The winner also punches their ticket to the following year’s Tournament of Champions, a no-cut event that guarantees a nice payday.
