Reminder Regarding Tee Times
- Due to the business levels we have been doing as of late, we are in need of using tee times. Lately we have been getting a mass of people showing up at the same time wanting to play with groups that have made starting times. During those situations, the priority will go to the people who make starting times while the others wait their turn. Where this is a problem is in the morning before the #10 tee is available. Our maintenance staff is doing everything to be in front of the golfers and not get caught. If we allow groups to get ahead of them and slow them down, the whole course will now be backed up. With people making tee times, we are able to schedule our staff accordingly to provide you with the best service we can offer or not have too many people scheduled during slow times.

To get Members up to date on the weekly play at Sussex Pines and what tee times are available before and after the groups:

Monday-Wednesday-Friday: Men’s Group, 8:30 am shotgun, No tee times from 8:00-8:30 am. This allows the group to shotgun off of holes 1-5 without delay. Tee times can be made starting at 9:00 am on these days. There will be a limited number of times before the Men’s group, please make tee times.

Tuesdays: Ladies Day: No play on the course until 11:00 a.m. except for the scheduled 9 and 18-hole groups.

Thursdays: Course closed until 10:00 a.m. No exceptions! This allows our grounds crew to do some extra work on the course to prepare for the weekend. The driving range will not open until just before 10:00 a.m. as well. We suggest tee times if you want to play. We have had a lot of people standing ready to go at 10:00. All play will begin on the same side, either #1 or #10, not both.

If you think this is a lot of play going on, you’re right. Just remember, our grounds crew has to prepare for at least 4-5 morning shotgun starts a week, depending on Saturday tournaments. If there are any questions or concerns, please come see Steve.
